This Tuesday (19), Dell has made an official announcement about Inspiron 13 5000 to Brazil. This laptop is the company’s first product to be equipped with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 11th generation (Tiger Lake) processor. These chips include integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.
The new Dell Inspiron 13 5000 is sold in three main versions. All feature 13.3-inch IPS displays with full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 300 nits of brightness, alongside aluminum bodies and weighing just over 1 kg.
Inside, the novelty brings a 256 GB SSD (NVMe M.2) in the entry version and a 512 GB SSD with 32 GB Intel Optane memory in the top-end versions. All versions come with 8 GB of LPDDR4x 4,267 MHz memory, with one important note: RAM is soldered to the motherboard of the laptop and cannot be expanded.
Processor options are Core i5-1135G7 and for the higher-end version, Core i7-1165G7. As reported, both belong to Intel’s 11th generation of chips. Hence, they feature 10 nanometer technology and the highlight is integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.
In terms of connectivity, the model doesn’t disappoint. Here we find two USB 3.2 type A (traditional) ports, one USB-C port in the USB 3.2 standard, one HDMI 1.4 port, connectivity for headphones, a microSD reader, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. .
Other features include backlit ABNT2 keyboard, optional fingerprint reader, 53 Wh battery (four cell and up to 15 hours of operating time), 720p webcam, dual 2 W speakers and Windows 10 Home are standard operating system.
Dell Inspiron 13 5000: price and availability
Inspiron 13 5000 has been sold on Dell website in Brazil. Currently, the official prices are:
- Inspiron 13 5000 with Core i5 and 256GB SSD: R $ 6,679
- Inspiron 13 5000 with Core i5, 512GB SSD and Optane: R $ 7,218
- Inspiron 13 5000 with Core i7, 512 GB SSD and Optane: R $ 7,729
Interestingly, a version with Core i7 processor is also sold optionally with the mouse. The problem is that the accessory increases the value of the device to Rs 7,998.
